Wild Rose Square-6"
This square is perfect for exchanges or a great way to use up all those "rose"-colored yarn scraps to make a pretty and feminine afghan.

The Chaise Lounge Throw uses the following colors:

For each square,you'll need:worsted yarn,9 yds "rose" color,8 yds "leaf" color,15 yds "leaf" color,"G" & "I" hooks.

3-trc cluster=Work 3 trc in space indicated leaving last loop of eachtrc on hook,then YO and through all 4 loops on hook.

To Make:Square 1-
Using "G" hook and "rose" color,ch 8,sl st to form ring.
Rnd 1:Ch 1,16 sc in ring.Join with sc to 1st sc(16sc).
Rnd 2:Ch 5(cts as beg dc,ch 3),sk 1 st,(dc,ch 3,sk 1 st)7 times,ending at ch 3;join with sl st to 2nd ch of beg dc(8 ch-3 sps).
Rnd 3:Work 1 sc,4 dc,1 sc in each ch-3 sp(8 petals).Fasten off,weave in ends.
Rnd 4:With "leaf" color,(insert hook in back lp of any dc on Rnd 2 and work 1 sc in the dc,ch 6)8 times;join with sl st to 1st sc(8 ch-6 loops).
Rnd 5:Work 1 sc,6 dc,1 sc in each ch-6 sp(8 leaves).Fasten off,weave in ends.
Using "I" hook,join "border" color with sl st in sc of any "leaf".
Rnd 6:Sc,ch 4(cts as beg dc,ch 2),*sc between 2nd and 3rd dc of "leaf",ch 2,sc between  4th and 5th dc of same "leaf",ch 2,dc in sc at end of "leaf",ch 5,work 3-trc cluster between 3rd and 4th dc of next "leaf",ch 5,dc,ch2 in 1st sc of next "leaf".Rep from * around,ending last rep at ch 5;join  with sc to beg dc(4 corner cluster).
Rnd 7:Ch 2(cts as beg dc),*2 dc in next sp,(ch 1,sk next sc,2 dc in next sp)twice,dc in next dc,(ch 1,2 dc)twice in ch-5 sp,ch 3,(2 dc,ch 1)twice in next ch-5 sp,dc in next dc.Rep from * around,ending by sl st into beg dc.Fasten off,weave in ends.

Square 2-
Rep Rnds 1-6 of Square 1
Rnd 7:Rep Rnd 7 of Square 1 for 3 sides,ending last dc before ch-3 sp.Holding SQ1 & SQ2,wrong sides tog,ch 1,sl st into ch-3 sp of SQ1,ch 1,(2 dc in ch-5 sp of SQ2,sl st in next ch-1 sp on SQ1)twice,dc in next dc on SQ2,(2 dc in next sp on SQ2,sl st in next sp on SQ1)twice,2 dc in next sp on SQ2,dc in next dc on SQ2.(Sl st in next sp on SQ1,2 dc in next sp on SQ2)twice,ch 1,sl st in ch-3 sp on SQ1,ch 1.(2 dc,ch 1)twice on SQ2.Join with sl st to beg dc on SQ2.Fasten off,weave in ends.

Square 3-
Work same as Square 2.Join same as Square 2 to Square 2.

Square 4-
Work same as Square 1,joining SQ4 To sides of SQ3 and SQ1.When you reach the juncture of SQ's 1,2 and 3,sl st into center ch of both SQ's 3 and 1 to make the joining lay flat.

These 4 squares,when joined this way,are 11 1/2".Add a round of sc and you'll have a 12" exchange square.

Chaise Lounge Throw
Join  60 squares together,6x10
Rnd 1:Join Aran to beg dc of corner square,ch 1,*sc in same dc and in next 15 dc.Sc in next ch-3 sp,joining sl st and next ch-3 sp(19sc).Rep across to corner ch-3 sp,(sc,ch 1,sc)in corner sp.Rep from * around.fasten off,weave in ends.
Rnd 2:With Hunter Green,join  to any corner ch-1 sp(ch 3,4dc)in sp.Sk next sc,(sc in next sc,sk next sc,5 dc in next sc)twice.Work long sc in sp between center dc on Rnd 7 of square.(Sk next sc,5 dc in next sc,sk next sc,sc in next sc)3 times.Rep around.Fasten off,weave in ends.
