Tweed Hood-Ladies
This project started out as a scrap scarf,but I ran out of yarn.It comes all the way down to cover your neck and ears.
You'll Need:
about 2 1/2 oz.each worsted and sport yarn,"J" hook
Gauge:width=8 1/2"
Note:Hold both strands together.
To Make:
Row 1(right side):Ch 25,dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across(23 dc).
Row 2-29:Ch 3,turn.Dc in each st across.Fasten off,weave in ends.

Finishing:
Fold hood in half,width-wise,so Row 1 and Row 29 meet.Whip stitch one long side together.

Ties:
With 2 strands sport yarn,ch 30.Sc in dc on Row 1 of hood.Work 2 more sc in same st.3 dc in end of each dc row(77 dc).Ch 30,fasten off.Pull ch ends up tight,cut to 1",fray ends.

Tassel:
Cut a piece of cardboard 3 1/2" wide.Wrap doubled yarn around cardboard 15 times.Slip 12" strand of yarn under wrapped yarn at one end and tie in double knot 6 times.Cut other ends of wrapped yarn.Tie second strand of yarn about 3/4" down from first tie and tie in double knot.Pull 12" strands through top of hood to the knots and secure by weaving back and forth several times.
