Steel hook "0",7/8" brown 2-hole button,tacky glue,wire ornament hanger
Note:Hold 2 strands of thread together throughout.
To Make:
Row 1:Ch 6,join with a slip st to 1st ch to form a ring.Ch 3(counts as 1st dc),11 dc in ring(12dc).This should look like half circle.
Row 2:Ch 3,turn,dc in same st,dc in next dc,*2 dc in next dc,dc in next dc.Rep from * across(18dc).
Row 3:Ch 4,turn(counts as dc,ch 1),dc in next dc, *ch 1,dc in next dc.Rep from * across(18dc).
Row 4:Ch 3,turn.dc in same dc,*ch 1,2 dc in next dc.Rep from * across(36dc).
Row 5:Slip st in next 2 dc,sc in next ch-1 sp,*ch 5,sc in next ch-1 sp.Rep from * across.Slip st in next dc,fasten off.Weave in ends.
Finishing:
Glue button over beginning stitches,allowing half of button to be up above body.Hook a wire ornament hanger into beginning chain behind head.
Note:Use 1 strand of thread and a smaller hook to make a lapel pin.
