| Here's another use for the all-time favorite Granny Square, except made with cotton! |
| You'll Need: 2 balls any brand worseted cotton yarn,1 each solid and varigated(will make more than 1),"G" hook. To Make: Back-With solid color,ch 20. Row 1:Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across(19 sc). Row 2-19:Ch 1,turn.sc in each st across(19 sc). Row 20(right side):Ch 1,turn.Working across Row 19,(sc,ch 2.sc) in 1st st,sc in next 17 sts,(sc,ch 2,sc)in last st.*Working in ends of rows,sk 1st row,sc in next 17 rows,sk last row*;working in free loops of beg ch,(sc,ch 2,sc)in 1st ch,sc in next 17 chs,(sc,ch 2,sc) in last ch;Rep between * *.Join with sl st to 1st sc.Fasten off,weave in ends.(19 sc on each side,4 ch-2 sps). Front-With varigated color,ch 4,sl st in 1st ch to form loop. Rnd 1(right side):Ch 3,2 dc in loop.(ch 2,3 dc)3 times.Join with sl st to beg ch-3(12 dc,4 ch-2 sps). Rnd 2:Ch 1,turn(sc,ch 2[cts as beg dc],2 dc,ch 2,3 dc)in ch-2 sp,(ch 1,3 dc,ch 2,3 dc in next ch=2 sp)3 times.Join.(8 3-dc grps).
