1.)Crochet the Legs & Body:Roundness of belly is front of bear.
Starting at foot and with Chenille yarn,ch 2.
Rnd 1:Work 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook.(8 sc).
Rnd 2-11:Sc in each sc around.(8 sc).Fasten off,leaving an 8" length of yarn for sewing.Stuff leg firmly.Set aside.
Repeat rounds 1-11 for 2nd leg;do not fasten off.Stuff leg firmly.
Rnd 12:(To begin body,you will crochet around both legs,attaching them together.You are now working with 1st leg).Sc in 8 sc of 1st & 2nd leg.(16 sc).Stuff as you go.
Rnd 13:Sc in each sc around.(16 sc).
Rnd 14:*Sc in next 2 sc,inc.(sc in next sc,inc)twice,rep from * once.Sc in last 2 sc.(22 sc).
Rnd 15:Sc in each sc around.(22 sc).Use 8" yarn tail to sew leg opening closed.
Rnd 16:Sc in next 3 sc,inc.(Sc in next 2 sc,inc)5 times.Sc in last 3 sc.(28 sc).
Rnd 17-18:Sc in each sc around.(28 sc).
Rnd 19:Sc in next 3 sc,dec.(Sc in next 2 sc,dec)5 times.Sc in last 3 sc.(22 sc).
Rnd 20:Sc in each sc around.(22 sc).
Rnd 21:Sc in next 4 sc,dec.(Sc in next 2 sc,dec)3 times.Sc in last 4 sc.(18 sc).
Rnd 22:(Sc in next 2 sc,dec)4 times.Sc in last 2 sc.(14 sc).
Rnd 23:(Sc in next sc,dec)4 times.Sc in last 2 sc.(10 sc).
Rnd 24-25:Sc in each sc around.
2.)Crochet the Head:Stuff as you go.
Rnd 26:2 sc in each sc around.(20 sc).
Rnd 27:Sc in each sc around.(20 sc).
Rnd 28:2 sc in each sc around.(40 sc).
Finishing Head-Sc in next 2 sc,dec,around til 5-7 st are left.Dec around to close.Finish off.Weave in end.
3.)Crochet the Arms:Make 2.
Ch 2,6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Rnd 1-14:Sc in each sc around.(6 sc).Finish off,leaving 8" tail for sewing.Stuff.Sew one arm to each side of body near the center of back.Sew paws together in front of body.
4.)Crochet the Ears:Make 2.
Ch 2.Row 1:Work 4 sc in 2nd ch from hook,ch 1,turn.(4 sc).
Row 2:Work 2 sc in 1st sc,sc in each of next 2 sc,work 2 sc in last sc.(6 sc).Fasten off, leaving an 8" length of yarn for sewing.Sew ears to top of head.
5.)Facial Features:
Pinch front of face into muzzle-shape.outline with brown yarn.Stitch up-side down triangle for nose.Make 3 long stitches for eyes.

I used a basic Granny square,in 5 rounds,from Lion Brand Homespun.Use your favorite pattern .
