Happy Easter to all my friends!
There was snow on the ground this morning!
Mike & I arrived at the church hall at 9am,just when the 8am mass let out.Vicki,Anne M. & Julea were busily putting price tags on baked goods.I stayed & helped until 10:30am mass.
After mass,I helped at the bake table again. We sold around 90% of the items & donated the leftover's to St Martin's men's homeless shelter where they serve breakfast every morning. All the ladies seemed pleased with the outcome. It was a good idea to have items made with Splenda.
Susie came by after church & picked up the coffee table she got on Saturday.
Mike & I went to Lowe's for screws/washers & Smith's for yogurt & coconut. They carry the Kroger brand of unsweetened.
Back home,Mike stained the entry-way mirror dark to match the floors & put the pulls on the linen closet drawers.I took the piece of $1 green/cream patchwork fabric, draped it over the $5 curtain rod & sewed on buttons to match the rod(bronzy brown). So,now the linen closet has a new "country" look!We also hung a picture at the end of the hallway. Now,we can see the 1960's back porch-looking light fixture at the end of the hall looks really out of place.
I spent the rest of the afternoon/evening sorting buttons.
We had double-grilled smoked sausage burritos & German Chocolate cake(purchased at the bake sale-made by Mell)for supper.
