Pineapple Fan Shawl in Camel-given to my mother

Walk around the neighborhood.

The hot water heater guy came from Sears at 9am.He ordered a part, which should be here tomorrow.

I spent most of the morning washing the buttons from a tin purchased at an estate sale on Saturday. It apparently had gotten wet & the plastic & shell buttons were rust-dusty.There are some cool buttons in this mix, purchased for $1!I'm almost as addicted to vintage buttons as I am to yarn!!

I made a mat using the Petal Place Mat pattern from Annie's Crochet Newsletter Sep/Oct 1985 in Lily Sugar'n Cream "Cream".It was 3 rows smaller & I edged it in sc.It's still pretty!+2

I made a scarf in Jo-Ann Sensations Angel Hair "Posy"(50cents at a yard sale) using Pam Gillette's Spring pattern.I added a previously-made flower pin made from my wool basket.+2

I made Lindsay Springs chicken & Apple salad for supper.

I started a Diamond lap blanket in RHS Dark Sage.

Hi Catherine...your fan shawl gift to you Mom turned out gorgeous...she must be enjoying it so...may I enquire the yarn weight and the hook size used...also, your Christmas afghan turned out very striking...you have a real talent for pattern design and color usage...take care

Thank you for the nice comments!
The Pineapple Fan shawl was made in sport-weight acrylic yarn & an I wooden hook.I worked loosely to give the shawl more drape.
Hopefully,my motherwill send me a picture wearing it!
