.North Dakota
For those of you who think the world is overpopulated, take a drive across North Dakota.There are long stretches of fields full of wheat, corn and sunflowers.Driving at night, you sometimes go for miles without seeing a light in the distance.My favorite part of North Dakota is from Beach to Belfield,in the western part of the state.Below are some photos I took on August 10th.
.I-94 eastbound near Sentinel Butte.
.We stopped at a rest area on the northbound side of I-94 near Belfield.It overlooks the Theodore Roosevelt Nat'l Park South Unit.There were signs saying not to bother the buffalo,though there were none there that day.We had seen them before on a previous trip.
.They call these rock formations "Badlands".The erosion makes it easier to hunt for dinosaur bones.
