| One of my fondest,childhod memories was sorting through my grandmother's button box. She could tell me exactly which piece of clothing the button came from.I would spend hours sorting them by color,size and shape,not knowing that I was actually learning!This pattern is dedicated to my Grandma Martha Mattingly. |

| You'll Need: Small amount(approximately 1/2oz.) #10 thread,2 strands held together as one,,steel hooks 0(zero) & 7(seven).Buttons-Size A(3/8"-1/2"):30(thirty),Size B(1/2"-5/4"):30(thirty),Size C(7/8"-1")1(one).Shank,1(one).You may want to check buttons first to make sure 7(seven)hook fits through hole easily. Note:Button Sc(BSC)- With loop on hook,insert hook through one hole on wrong side of button,pull thread back through hole(make sure to catch both strands),pull loop up to edge of button,YO,pull through both loops on hook. To Make: Leave long beg tail for sewing on shank button,with 0(zero)hook,ch 119. Row 1:Sc in 10th ch from hook(loop closure)and in next 24 chs.Switch to 7(seven) hook. (Ch 4,BSC through button A,ch 4,sc in next ch,ch 6,BSC through button B,ch 6,sc in next ch)15 times. Ch 8,BSC through button C,ch 8,sc in next ch. (Ch 6,BSC through button B,ch 6,sc in next ch,ch 4,BSC through button A,ch 4,sc in next ch)15 times. Sc in remaining chs.Fasten off,weae in end. Using beg long tail,sew shank button to necklace. |
