| You'll Need: worsted yarn-approximately 100yds main color(leaves), 7yds each various scrap colors(flowers),G hook. Note: Gauge isn't extremely important,except where yardages are concerned.My blossoms motifs are 4" wide. To Make: Rnd 1:With flower color,ch 5,join to form ring.Ch 1,(sc,ch 3)6 times.Join to first sc(6 ch-3 loops). Rnd 2:In each ch-3 loop,work(sc,ch 1,4 dc,ch 1,sc).Do not join(6 petals). Rnd 3:Ch 1,*sl st in back of petal between 2nd & 3rd dc's,ch 5.Rep from * around.Join to first sl st(6 ch-5 loops).Fasten off,weave in ends. Rnd 4:With leaf color,join to any sl st of petal rnd with sl st.In each ch-5 loop,work(sl st,ch 2 2 dc,ch 3,sl st in top of dc just made[picot],2 dc,ch 2,sl st).Fasten off,weave in ends.(6 leaves). To join flowers as you crochet: Work Blossom up to Rnd 4.Work 4 leaves. Leaves 5 & 6: In loop work(sl st,ch 2,2 dc,ch 1,sl st into ch-3 space of previous blossom made,ch 1,sl st in top of dc just made[picot join],2 dc,ch 2,sl st).Rep for leaf 6.Join.Fasten off,weave in ends.**Make sure to join blossoms in a straight line!** This scarf is 16 blossoms long,but you can make yours any length you wish.Use the blossom motifs as pins or to embellish any project.Try them in thread or sport yarns.Try the flowers in one color & the leaves in random greens.The possibilities are endless! |
