| You'll Need:small amount worsted yarn,G hook,one 3/4" brown button,one 1/2" or smaller yellow button,three 1/2" or smaller other color buttons,tacky glue Gauge:unimportant Note:tree is made in continuous rounds,use a stitch marker. To Make: Rnd 1:Ch 2,loosely.Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook(6 sc) Rnd 2:Sc in each st(6sc). Rnd 3:2 sc in each st(12 sc). Rnd 4-5:Sc in each st(12 sc). Rnd 6:Sc in next st,2 sc in next st(18 sc). Rnd 7-8:Sc in each st(18 sc). Rnd 9:Sc in next 2 sts,2 sc in next st(24 sc). Rnd 10-11:Sc in each st(24 sc). Sl st in next st.Fasten off,leaving a long tail.Flatten tree,sew opening closed. Glue brown button on bottom of tree for "trunk",small yellow button on top of tree for "star" & remaining small buttons randomly on body of tree for "ornaments". Add wire hook on top for tree ornament,glue magnet strip on back for fridgie,or tie on string for package trim. |
