| You'll Need: worsted yarn in 3 colors:CA-65yds,CB-26yds,CC-13yds,I hook Gauge:Rnds 1-2=2 3/8" 6sc=2" Download "Basic Crown". With CA,work Basic Crown. Rnd 7:Ch 2,dc in st around.Join(60 dc).Pull up CB loop.Do not cut CA.Carry it up along inside of hat. Rnd 8:Ch 2,holding last loop of each dc on hook,2 dc in same st,YO,pull through all 3 loops on hook[Beg Cluster made].*Ch 1,sk next st,holding last loop of each dc on hook,3 dc in next st,YO,pull through all 4 loops on hook[Cluster made].Rep from * around.Join with sc to top of Beg Cluster to form last ch-1 sp,pulling up CA with last YO and pull-through.(30 Clusters).Fasten of CB. Rnd 9:Ch 2,Beg Cluster in same sp.*Ch 1,Cluster in next ch-1 sp.Rep from * around.Join with sc,pulling up CC.(30 Clusters). Rnd 10:Rep Rnd 9.Pull up CA,fasten off CC.(30 Clusters). Rnd 11:Rep Rnd 9.Pull up CB.(30 Clusters). Rnd 12:Rep Rnd 9,but do not join with sc.Ch 1,sl st in top of Beg Cluster,pull up CA,fasten off CB.(30 Clusters). Rnd 13:Ch 1,sc in same st and in each st around.Join(60 sc).Fasten off,weave in ends. Note:This hat would look equally well in one color or each Cluster stripe a different color(great for scraps!). |
